Do Indians living in the UAE need a Singapore visa?

Yes, you do. In fact, India is on Singapore’s list of countries that need an entry visa, as the ICA confirms. A UAE residence visa doesn’t change that. However, it does let you apply from here instead of from India.

Singapore doesn’t offer a visa on arrival. Also, you usually can’t apply on your own. Instead, an authorised visa agent submits the application for you.

Who can apply from the UAE?

Before you collect any documents, check these three points. If you miss even one, Singapore will most likely refuse your application.

  • UAE residence visa valid for at least 6 months
  • Indian passport valid for at least 6 months from your travel date
  • Return travel booked within the visa’s validity

Documents required for a Singapore visa for Indians in UAE

Keep your documents clear, current and consistent. For example, hotel dates that don’t match your flight dates often cause delays.

  • Passport and a copy of the bio page
  • One recent photo: 35 × 45 mm, white background, taken in the last 3 months
  • Copies of your UAE residence visa and Emirates ID
  • Form 14A, the Singapore visa application form (we fill it in with you)

Common reasons Singapore visas get rejected

Most refusals come from small admin mistakes that you can easily avoid. That’s why a proper check before you apply matters. As a result, you save both time and money.

  • Residence visa or passport with less than 6 months’ validity
  • Applying on a UAE visit visa instead of a residence visa
  • Bank statements that are too short, unclear or show a sudden large deposit
  • No salary certificate or employer NOC
  • Mistakes on Form 14A, or details that don’t match your passport
  • A photo that doesn’t meet the size or background rules
  • Hotel booking that doesn’t cover your full stay
  • A previous refusal or overstay that you haven’t explained

SG Arrival Card: the step people forget

Every traveller to Singapore must fill in the SG Arrival Card, even with a valid visa. It’s free and takes about 5 minutes. You complete it online on the official ICA website within 3 days before you arrive. Remember, the SG Arrival Card is not a visa, so you still need your e-visa.

Important: Only use the official ICA website or app. Avoid any website that charges a fee for the SG Arrival Card.
